Should I buy the 2013 Sunday Spark or the 2012 Fit VH1? Please Respond. Thanks!

Answer
The Fit out-specs the Sunday, and goes for a better price, but I suggest looking into something different as the Single walled rims and unsealed front will not do you any good. Plus it has a 20" TT, which is quite small. Good luck!

@Lucky ~ Mongoose makes kids bikes, and also develops professional equipment as they do have a bmx team. Their top of the line models out there compete with many of the leading company's. Do a bit of research as any respectable biker knows that mongoose does in fact develop/sell high quality bikes.

Question for New Yorkers. What are the best neighborhoods in Manhattan and how much should I pay for rent?

Very

My husband and I are moving to New York in January 2012. Our household income is $210,000 per year. We work from home so we don't have to worry about living near an employer or anything. We are young and fun and cute and artsy. We go out a LOT for drinks and dinner and to see bands and we are VERY social. We have no kids and are too young to be having kids anytime soon so we're n ot worried about kid friendly neighborhoods. We have been to Brooklyn many times and looked for apartments there and have concluded that we don't want to live there. We do however want to be in a neighborhoody area with hopefully tree lines streets and near a park. Right now Upper West Side is at the top our list because it is so near to Central Park and we have a chocolate lab. From what people say it is a little less snobby and a little less expensive and more artsy than Upper East Side which I understand is more elitist and more of the financial industry type people. I know it is a pricey area, but we have a decent income so I'm hoping it's enough, but we are willing to look in other areas of Manhattan. Our wish list is a 1br 1 bath with hardwood floors large windows and a terrace or balcony. How much should we budget of our income to pay for this and what kind of square footage can we get?

Answer
Look, everyone is going to give you a different answer. Certainly steer clear of the UES, midtown (though there is an argument for Hell's Kitchen), or the financial district. While these areas might have something to offer, they're not what you want.

May I propose the West Village? A million bars, restaurants, and music venues. I've even found a jazz club that I like, and I don't know that I like jazz (Small's is just cool). The UWS is accessible from there if you really find a reason to go. But I doubt that you would that often. My friends up there usually come down to us to go out. The meat packing district is there if you're cool enough.

There are also a lot of beautiful tree lined streets, and the park that runs all the way up and down the Hudson at those latitudes. There are dog runs in Washington Square Park (a short walk) and on Leroy street by the water.

I recommend renting bikes at the shop on the corner of Charles and Washington st to get to know the neighborhood. I think you'll like it.

But it is pricier. You get more for your money uptown, which is why people go. Just to ballpark it, I think to get everything you asked for will be around $3000 to $4000 per month. Your mileage may vary.
