Which places have the best prices in Eastern Nassau County or Western Suffolk County on Long Island in New York?

I'd recommend a decent cheap hardtail mountain bike.....it'll have wheels/tires that will hold up a little better to any adventures or stunts he decides to try, and mountain bike styles are just pretty handy in general. BMX styles are popular, and you can get loads of them.....usually cheaper than other styles of bikes, too.
If you're willing to spend $300 to $400, you can get good entry level hardtails in bike shops from Trek, Specialized, Giant, GT, Felt......lots of brands. They'll be much nicer to ride than the $80-$150 bikes you see in walmart, etc......and you'll have a MUCH easier time as a parent when adjustments and parts are needed (and in this regard, you'll probably end up saving money in the future as well, when compared with the stuff you have to put up with on the cheapie bikes).
If you go the walmart route, there's nothing wrong with that....and because they're usually much heavier, your child will develop stronger legs faster. :o) Also, if theft or care of the bike is a concern, you're out less money than you would be with a *real* bike.
Sometimes with kids, the most important thing to them is appearance, so try to get one that (s)he likes and will want to ride with friends.

We are from Texas and this will be our first trip to Florida. We have a one year old daughter. We are looking for something well priced but nice ($200 or less a night) on the beach. Mainly less crowded and baby friendly. Any thoughts? Thank you.

The best family vacation for beaches would be on holmes beach on Anna Maria island....It is a quaint beach town with several well priced beach condos that can be rented out at great weekly rates...Some at 500 for the week which is very normal for the summer months. It is very kid friendly especially for young children, as it is not too crowded and you wont be running into any of the "party" crowd. The places to say are very nice and "beachy" feeling... some of these places even supply beach chairs and toys for the kids as well as bicycles to ride around the island... The restaurants are outstanding and you will see some amazing sunsets. There is also great fishing opportunities as well!!!
