I've been looking around, and there doesn't seem to be a rain cover for my kid's bike seat, so the kid is going to get soaked next time it rains and we're out for a bike ride.
Its been suggested to get a trailer which will be under cover, but that's not really an option since I can't get through the gates near where we live with a trailer behind my bike.

I don't think one exists but how about the old school rain poncho that the kid can wear and it will also drape right over the seat. If you can't find one small enough then maybe modify one to fit. Good Luck.

I've never used ebay. I was browsing and saw a cute bike for 30$, so I bid 31$. Had no idea i'd win. Problem is the cheapest shipping is 37$. That's more then i'm paying for the bike. Question is, is this bike worth 68$? Would you buy it, or just wait and find a cheaper local one? I don't know anything about bikes, but the listing states

To be honest with you, Murray Bicycles aren't exactly something everyone is scrambling for. Whenever someone puts rare in front of a bike, it literally means that they have no found search results on Google, and that sounds just about right with many old bikes. I cannot see the bike, and if it were just a Murray Hybrid or Mountain bike or road bike then it'd be great. Cruisers don't sell for much because they are very simple mechanisms.
