I want to get into dirt biking..?

Ive always wanted too but I never really made the effort to make this dream real. Im a 15 year old girl, I live in Victoria BC, and I don't have much cash, but im looking for a job and I would be willing to save to buy a bike. I don't know about local places, but I do know there is one or two because a kid from my neighbourhood bikes, and its the area for it I presume. I don't think my dad would let me though, he has this thing against bikes.

But man, it looks amazing. I've always wondered what it feels like to get big air and cruse through the dirt, not having to worry about all the stupid problems in my life, it would just be me and my bike. As you can see, i've been thinking about this for years. :/

A little info about cost would be helpful to please :)
