How to make eye contact with people if your afraid of people?

Well let me first say that I am really awkward and clumy and at times I honesty think in crazy.
I am 13, and I have a fear if talking to people, with exposure therapy I have been able to talk to people more and more but I can't talk without a stutter or hesitation. I have OCD so people stare at me when I do rituals ( blink my eyes hard 5 times, shut the car door 5 times, pick something up and put it down 5 times etc...) and I've been bullied for it. My teacher calls on me in class and asks me questions frequently and I have to answer, that is when I start to break down. I can't make eye contact with him or anyone else and I just freeze. I eventually get the answer out but not without feeling like I'm going to explode⦠any tips. Also I stare at people and space out without even realizing it. And sometimes my teachers pull me aside and ask me if I'm ok (my careers 2 teacher has done it multiple times and he is helping me through all of this) and I have no idea what to say.⦠I've been told that I have a higher IQ that a normal teenage girl. Now in my school I'm considered a "beautiful mind child"
Any help? My guidance therapist beieves that I have aspergers⦠so anyways how can I calm my self and make eye contact?

There's a good chance you have Asperger's disorder, I myself have this, I'm not sure if you're aware of what it is but I'll give you a brief summary anyway; It basically impairs your ability to socialize, make eye contact, get jokes, sarcasm etc. With this disorder often comes OCD like habits, I have a few 'quirks' myself.
I can't make eye contact because to me it's disturbing, almost like the person is x-raying me or staring into my soul. I talk like a robot, I pace like 3-4 miles a day in deep thought. I can't understand most jokes, can't stand yellow things, takes me all y energy not to go crazy when an ambulance or motorbike passes etc.
Does any of that sound like you? Most with this disorder generally have higher IQs also. I can't talk to people when I need to but I'd rather be by myself for the sake of simplicity, I find that I get on with other people like me quite easily and it's never really awkward.
I'd bet if we met in real life it wouldn't be awkward. All I can suggest is try talking to people more and put yourself in social situations, sit at the center of the class instead of the back corner,things like this make it easier to talk to people I suppose but by answering this question it's really the blind leading the blind because as I said, I'm no social God either.
Lastly, the ''Beautiful Mind Child'' is an amazing way of putting how you are imo, I'd say you're the best kind of different. :)
