What would be the best type of bike for me to purchase?

I'm looking for a bike and also a trailer to pull the kids behind me. Really for recreational use, light exercise. Should I get a mountain bike or a different type? I would really appreciate some advice. I would just be riding around the neighborhood, pulling the kids or just going around by myself every once in a while. Any help?

If you're riding around town, and going to stay on the pavement, get a road bike, with 27" or 700cm x 1.25
or so rims. You can inflate them up to 95lbs and have minimal road resistance, therefor making it SO much easier to ride, especially if your pulling a trailer and child!

Where can you get replacement tires for the things you pull your kids in behind your bike?

First, thanks for your time! I don't even know what they are called, but I have one of the things that hook to your bike that I can haul my twins around in. I need to buy new tires for it, and I am totally clueless about where to find them! Help!

If you are talking a kidde trailer, the tires are sold at the bike shops.

There is a bunch of numbers written on the tires, like 4076 or 16x 1.50 .

many use 16 inch tires

Call the family bike store and ask if they have that size.

If stores a long ways away, shop on the net
