My friends and I are running our 5th annual kids camp! We are super excited, but we have no idea what we should make our theme. It is for kids ages 4-7. Please help me out and tell me some good themes. Thanks!

What are some summer ideas for 2 boys?

I just found out that I will be watching 2 young boys, ages 7 and 9, this summer for a week at a time (they will visit their father for 2 weeks and then be with their mother for a week and I will be watching them while she is at work). What are some fun activities I can plan, besides going to the park and riding bikes?

When I babysat, I noticed that most boys LOVE to play ball, catch, or anything that is sporty. So, depending on the interests, that would be geared toward sporty boys. (With the parents permission maybe the pool?) If they are more artsy maybe paintings, art projects (like things they might be really good at, enjoy making, and want to hang in their room.) If they are inventive, you can never go wrong with Lego's, or creative thinking games. If they are competitive, try to focus on things they can do to compete like board games, (battle ship is great for boys) water balloon fights, Nerf gun fights (if the parents are OK with that) and maybe races or treasure hunts (whoever wins gets a prize.) If they love to explore, go to a park with walking trails and have them look for bugs and certain plants. If they are interested in reading and things like that, try to recommend good books or read with them. (If your local library has a reading program that will do.) Having them help you create fun, simple, foods will also be fun.(try a library cook-book of foods around the world) Just remember to try and keep things fun and appropriate and based on outdoor stuff mostly because it is summer. (don't forget sun-block!) And, ALWAYS be a good role-model to the kids, they look up to you.
