I have two kids and I diet and exercise, but nothing is working for me to lose that loose skin of belly fatness that hangs over my pants. All the ab workouts and nothing..Also I have a lot of stretch marks-mainly on my stomach to my thighs. How do I get rid of that ugly-unwanted sight..anybody have any ideas?

Answer
If what you are describing is loose skin that has lost its elasticity, there isn't much you can do about that with exercise or diet. Stretch marks will fade a little over time, but surgery is really the only thing that will remove them also.

Stomach exercises donât remove fat from the belly alone, but help with fat loss overall, which in turn leads to fat loss on the belly. That is how any exercise or weight loss works. Stomach exercises strengthen the stomach muscles, which helps keep the stomach flat by holding everything in place.

One of the best exercise overall for the stomach is called âthe bicycleâ. You lie on the floor with the lower part of your back pressed into the floor. Bend your knees at a 45 degree angle and move your legs as if pedaling a bike and alternately bringing your right elbow to your left knee and your left elbow to your right knee as part of the pedaling. If you havenât done this exercise before you may be able to do only one to start, or you might even have to work up to doing one, but stick with it until you can do 10 or 20 or more.

Another very good exercise is the simple crunch or one of the varieties of the crunch. Lie on the floor, bend your knees to a 90 degree angle, bring your chest toward your knees, return to the starting position, and repeat as many times as you can. I sometimes do this one with my lower legs resting on a chair.

Part of flattening the stomach also means flattening the inward curve of your lower back. Stand against a wall and get your lower back as close to the wall as possible. Try to remember and maintain that posture during the day.

where is the best beach to visit between jacksonville and daytona?

Flagler Beach is a tiny very quiet ocean community just north of the Ormond-Daytona metropolitan area. The beach is very near I-95 in this part of the coast, so it is easy to get to. Unless you want traffic, crowds, and condo canyons then you'd best give Ormond-Daytona a miss and take I-4 E to I-95 N and exit at Hwy 100, Flagler Beach. Most of the motels and diners will be just south of Hwy 100. There is a fishing pier right there. I have often seen dolphins in this area and once spotted a whale.

It's a very pleasant drive from Flagler to St Augustine, and Anastasia State Park is a wonderful seashore with huge tidal pools full of live fish and crabs. At that point I advise giving up the coastal route until north of Jacksonville as traffic is very heavy and slow.

If you have time, take the family to Cumberland Island National Seashore, E of I-95 in at Georgia Exits #1 & #2. This is an all day trip as you must ride a ferry boat over. No vehicles are allowed on the island, not even bicycles, but cold freshwater showers and flush toilets are available. You must pack out EVERYTHING you pack in, and that includes banana peels and soiled diapers. There are wild horses running free on the island.
