At 24 years old, am I too old to get into BMX racing?

I'm 24 years old, I'm searching for a hobby. I was interested in BMX racing when I was a kid and totally forgot about it until someone at work mentioned something about it. I'm very interested, but is it too late to start? I haven't hopped on a bike in years. So, I'd be learning basically from scratch. I looked at local tracks in the area, but they only hold races. Is there anyway I could practice? Thanks.

My friend, I started riding Flatland BMX when I was 28, and now I am currently the top amatuer in the country, winning the BMX Games for this year. I'm 32 now. As long as you have the motivation, drive, and determination to practice and progress, you are never too old :)
Although, you DO feel a little sorer in the morning than you used to. lol

what size bmx racing bike should i buy my 5 year old?

i'm tryin to find a bike for my 5 year old that wants to start racing, but i'm not what size to get. he's average height for his age. if you could help me out with the size it would be great. i was looking at a 16in, but i don't want him to out grow it too fast. if you could also provide some sites to look at them on it would be great. thanks.

you probably want to get him a micro (18'' wheels) or a mini (20'' but built fo smaller kids)
